That Is My Happy Smile

I am happy indeed! It's finished! I finished the hat sometime last night, but this morning Ben said "Nice babe. You know...it could use some earflaps." It turns out, they were a great addition. Here is the Star Wars fairisle pattern, and the pattern the hat is modeled after. The earflaps were lifted from the Jayne Cobb hat. Some pictures...
As you can see, I'm trying to block it so it won't roll as much. It has become a pain, and I'm not sure if my efforts will be for naught. I'll give it a couple of days before I mail it out to my friend, Jesse.

On the dark side of things, I bought more yarn. The Loopy Ewe had a mini update last night, and I had the chance to get my dirty little hands on some 2 skeins of Yarn Pirate. I couldn't resist. They should be here by tomorrow, so I'll post some pictures.
